INFRAMINCE CHAIR

2003. Furniture prototype
Stainless steel and walnut veneer

This piece is minimal expression of the function of the chair. It is composed of a single 2-D surface that is folded into the form of a seat. This abstract plane of material gives form to the friction between the sitting body and the space around it. The Inframince chair is made of a folded stainless steel sheet to which a thin layer of tactile veneer is applied, and sits on four stainless steel legs.
